Warren Won't Face Charge For Felony Escape

Actress/model Estella Warren will not face charges for escaping from police custody following her arrest last week - because cops had yet to book her into the system when she fled the station.
The Planet of the Apes star was detained in Los Angeles late on Monday night after reportedly slamming her Toyota Prius into three parked cars and allegedly driving away. She was held on suspicion of DUI, but allegedly resisted arrest and tried to kick one of the officers.
She was escorted to a local police station to be booked for the accusations, but managed to slip out of her handcuffs and run out of the building during proceedings.
Reports suggested she would face an extra charge for felony escape - but according to TMZ.com, Warren has one less legal woe to worry about as she made a run for it before she was technically charged with any crime.
However, Warren is still facing prosecution for counts of assault, hit and run and DUI.

Credit tenant lease (CTL) finance is an investment banking solution for the capital needs of single tenant, net lease real estate investors. Specialized lenders, in effect, turn triple net leases into bonds and use the proceeds from the bond issue to fund a commercial mortgage loan. Credit tenant lease loans tend to be long-term (co-terminus with the lease), fixed rate, non-recourse, self amortizing loans, and because they are usually assumable by a subsequent owner they are often the last loan a property will ever need.
CTL is an efficient and dependable method of financing the purchase or refinance of net leased property but it is not inexpensive. The investment banking aspects and the necessity of adhering to securities laws causes the fees and expenses associated with CTL to be somewhat higher than those associated with conventional lending.

Portfolio lenders tend to price CTL loans like bonds rather than like mortgages. Sponsors will find that rates are very reasonable for long term, fixed rate debt. The rates will be set based upon the going rate of an (interpolated) US Treasury Bond plus a very small premium.

Traditional CTL finance uses brokers, bankers, bond traders, third party rating services and independent trustees to get deals done. A portfolio lender cuts way down on the middle men and, because they will not be offering bonds in the market, do not require independently verified credit ratings or National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) ratings. Less people to compensate can mean big savings to borrowers.
? Time is Money
By definition, portfolio lenders don?t need to rely on third party service providers and can move a loan through the process very quickly and efficiently. Portfolio CTL lenders can fund deals 15-20% faster than private placement lenders can, closing loans in as-little-as 45 days from start-to-finish. In NNN real estate investing time really is money the sooner a buyer can get into a deal the more rent they will collect.
Private placement bond CTL financing is an excellent method of financing single tenant, net lease investments and our firm will continue to offer it. However, when a deal qualifies (portfolio lenders have strict qualification criteria and a slightly higher debt-service-coverage-ratio [DSCR] ) sponsors and investors will be well served by applying to a portfolio lender.

my oldest child, she is 9, has been in public school since kindergarten, her sister who is 4 is scheduled to start school next year. i wanted to homeschool my children, but their father would not let me. i am now married and have a child with a new husband and we are planning to homeschool this one and our next one. we both believe that the 4 yr old would be SOOOO much better off with a homeschool education then a public school education, she is extremely smart, has a very analytical mind and is super creative. i have seen public schools suck so much creativity and vitality out of my 9 yr old that it makes me sick.
my question is, do you think i should leave my 9 yr old in public school even though we are planning to homeschool the other kids? she loves the kids she has class with and it would be a big fight with my ex in laws, their father has no rights to his children any longer and his opinion is moot.
i guess i think that her education is worth the fight, what would you do

AT&T announced last fall that it would begin its LTE rollout in mid-2011, and it's now finally delivered a few more details. The carrier has just confirmed that five markets -- Dallas, Houston, Chicago, Atlanta and San Antonio -- will be getting LTE sometime "this summer," with ten more as-yet-unnamed cities set to join them in the second half of the year. All told, AT&T says should cover about 70 million Americans by year's end. The Force is Strong with These Star Wars Shoes

Last year fellow GeekDad Dave Banks raved about the new line of licensed Star Wars shoes available from Stride Rite. Apparently Dave wasn?t the only one impressed by these otherworldly kicks, as this spring the line has been expanded to include both additional light-up sneakers and a new series of flip-flops perfect for warm weather. The folks at Stride Rite were nice enough to send me a pair of each, and my six-year-old son was equally willing to put them to the test in the name of GeekDaddery.
The provided Boba Fett sneakers were styled to match the unique color palette of the bounty hunter?s iconic armor (complete with tiny Mandalorian skull emblems). The most obvious nod to the character?s design is the red and black t-shaped visor that covers the shoe?s Velcro fastener and contains the movement-activated LEDs, but subtler allusions to the battle armor exist throughout. These include layering which apes the breastplate and shoulder guards, an image of the mask itself and even tiny leather ?wings? on the back of each upper that mimic the style of Fett?s jet pack.
In addition to being instantly evocative of Jango?s clone-child, the color selection also makes the shoes fairly stain resistant. (Though I can?t imagine the same can be said for the predominantly white Captain Rex style.) Still, clever styling means little if not paired with proper function, but Stride Rite seems to deliver on that end as well.
As asking a kindergartener if clothing is comfortable has proven itself a problematic affair in the past, I instead took an indirect approach. After an initial check to make sure they were neither too loose nor too tight, I simply replaced my boy?s former play shoes with the Fetts. After a month of wear he has neither complained of foot pain nor shown any signs of blisters or other ailments related to ill-fitting, poorly padded shoes. Further, after 30 plus days of near-constant wear they have actually held up even better than I anticipated.
Clone Trooper flip-flops
The same can be said of their flip-fop counterparts. These blue beauties are festooned in the style of one of Boba?s anonymous clone-brothers. The gripper soles of these sandals are coated with a generous layer of blue EVA (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate) for added comfort and shock absorption. The contour is smooth and true, and the screen-printed all-over graphics are complimented by contrast striping around the shoe?s outer edge. The thong itself is composed of a thick but surprisingly soft canvas sewn securely into a blue suede strap that is adorned by a Clone Wars series logo and an eye-catching Imperial cog emblem.
My son had only recently mastered the delicate art of walking in flip-flops, and I also worried about the functionality of these sandals. Thankfully Stride Rite again proved itself capable of crafting shoes that are both attractive and comfortable.
Though less for day-to-day wear, these are perfect for warm weather strolls or quick trips to the pool. The primary difference between these flip-flops and their ubiquitous, ultra-cheap competition (aside from the sweet Clone Trooper motif) is again durability. You may pay a premium, but they are easily worth the price.

In an era where you can score licensed apparel at practically any big box store, I was a little hesitant with regards to the Stride Rite Star Wars line. When you can pick up cheap character shoes at the local Target while on your lunch break, why bother taking a trip to a dedicated shoe store? The answer, at least in this case, is quality.
Not only is the eye appeal of this line fanboy accurate so as to please even the smallest Padawan, but the kicks themselves are sturdy, comfortable and versatile. The Boba Fett light-ups (and their ilk) will set you back around $55 American, while the EVA flip-flops are $20 and come in three distinct styles. Though that may seem like a lot to some, I can?t help but feel that they are well worth it.
