ESPN, the proclaimed ?Worldwide Leader? in sports coverage, has a reputation for employing sports media personalities that push the envelope and challenge conventional sports thinking. One of these personalities is basketball writer Chris Palmer, who himself has garnered a reputation of making ridiculous claims that paint his opinions as one that?s more influenced ?in the moment? than anything else. He also one made this claim about Larry Bird:
Tuesday on twitter, one of Kevin Durant?s fans asked his opinion of Palmer after Palmer tweeted a few lists of where Palmer believes certain players rank in different categories, including one where Palmer ranked Durant as the 16th smartest player in the NBA (like that can actually be measured by play). Here?s the exchange:
Durant?s initial response was hilarious, then he followed it up by respectfully disagreeing with Palmer, as he should. Palmer is one of those media trolls that makes outlandish claims to get fans riled up, and in this case it worked. There?s little that he writes that people actually agree with, and apparently one of the best players in the world feels the same way.
