Placerville resident Pat Barron and the Center for Violence-free Relationships invite the community to attend the sixth annual Kacie?s Ride for Hope, a motorcycle ride through the beautiful foothills, to honor Pat?s sister, Kacie, and other local victims of domestic violence.
Kacie?s Ride for Hope to End Domestic Violence is Saturday, Sept. 10, starting at the Belltower in Placerville.
In July of 2006, Pat Barron tragically lost his sister, Kacie, as the result of domestic violence.
Pat has worked tirelessly to help raise awareness of domestic violence and the damage it causes families and communities.
The sixth annual Kacie?s Ride for Hope is an opportunity for the motorcycle community to come together and help raise funds to prevent a tragedy like Kacie?s from occurring again.
Registration for Kacie?s Ride for Hope will go from 8:30 a.m. until 10 a.m. at the Belltower on Main Street in Placerville.
The cost is $20 per rider.
Motorcycles will roll at 10:30 a.m. and end at the Diamond Springs/El Dorado Fire Fighters? Memorial Hall, 3745 China Garden Road in Diamond Springs, for great barbecue, music, prizes and fun activities for the families. The big prize this year is a 22-ton log splitter with a 16 inch ECHO chainsaw.

All proceeds from the event will go to the Center for Violence-free Relationships. The Center for Violence-free Relationships is dedicated to building healthy relationships, families and communities free from sexual assault and domestic violence through education, advocacy and services in western El Dorado County.

More than 23,000 victims have been served to date.
