Cleco Energy is taking steps to raise awareness of breast cancer.
Thursday afternoon the company held a balloon release in Mansfield.?
More than a 1,000 pink and white balloons were sent into the air at Cleco locations around the state. The names of breast cancer survivors and the names of those who died from the disease were inside each balloon.
This year Cleco is sponsoring the Susan G. Komen Foundation's CenLa Race for the Cure.
